Lange Zeit wurde angenommen, dass die Meeresstr\u00f6mungen die Larven \u00fcber gro\u00dfe Gebiete verstreuen, was zu einer breiten genetischen Konnektivit\u00e4t zwischen den Riffpopulationen f\u00fchrt. In einigen neueren Studien hat sich jedoch herausgestellt, dass die Selbstrekrutierung (Ansiedlung am Geburtsriff) h\u00e4ufiger ist als bisher angenommen. Bis zu 60 % der Jungfische stammten von dem Riff, an dem sie sich ansiedeln wollten. Als Mitglied des SFB 1372 &#8216;Magnetorezeption und Navigation bei Wirbeltieren&#8217; untersuchen wir die sensorischen F\u00e4higkeiten (Magnetsinn, Geruchssinn und Sehverm\u00f6gen) von dispergierenden Jungfischen, die ihnen helfen, zu ihren Geburtshabitaten zur\u00fcckzukehren.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Ausbreitungseigenschaften<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Wir sind daran interessiert, zu verstehen, ob und warum Arten mit wechselnden Umweltbedingungen zurechtkommen. Physiologische Studien bestimmen die Leistungsf\u00e4higkeit und das Wohlbefinden von Organismen.
