In meiner Dissertation befasse ich mich haupts\u00e4chlich mit dem Aussterben von \u00f6kologisch n\u00fctzlichen Arten aufgrund der Holzernte. Um diese Studien zu verstehen, habe ich mich auf die beiden wichtigsten Ma\u00dfst\u00e4be konzentriert, n\u00e4mlich die Nachhaltigkeit einer Art und die optimale Kontrolle erneuerbarer Ressourcen. Mehrere mathematische Modelle in deterministischen und stochastischen Ans\u00e4tzen haben diese Forschungsbereiche begr\u00fcndet. W\u00e4hrend meines Postdocs im Drake Lab habe ich die Aussterbegeometrie in Metagemeinschaften mit experimentellen und theoretischen Ans\u00e4tzen anhand von Daphnien (Zooplankton) untersucht. Ich habe auch ein Meta-Analysekonzept mit verschiedenen Patch-Geometrien gegen das Artensterben untersucht.
