We look forward to lively and inspiring discussions between early, mid and late career researchers!

The scientific landscape is shifting – and so are academic career paths. In marine and climate research especially, recent policy changes have raised serious concerns about long-term perspectives. How can we develop career strategies that are not only adaptive or defensive, but truly resilient?

This workshop offers a space to explore agile and forward-thinking career planning. Using Agile and Design Thinking methods, we will reflect on individual resources, institutional frameworks, and new opportunities – even beyond traditional academic careers. It’s not just about having a plan B, but about reframing career thinking altogether. Together, we will explore:

• What resilient career planning can look like

• How to turn uncertainty into a starting point for creativity

• What “career” even means in times of global transformation

Please note: Workshop spots are limited. If you are unable to attend, we kindly ask you to cancel your registration in advance. This allows others the opportunity to join – thank you!
